- I started painting in 2006 when my friend Trish asked me to come down and paint with her in Fort MacLeod one day. I was a bit shaky at first as I was too afraid to “mess up” the canvas…or “make a mistake”. I soon learned to relax and just go with whatever came to mind! My ideas are not really standard pictures, but feelings or visualizations of certain colours. I never know what I am going to paint before I start putting the paint on the canvas! Every time I start a new painting I vow it will be my last! Once completed though, I can't wait to start the next one! Truly beautiful work Martin. Amazing that you only started painting in the last few years. You have always been creative and inspiring - so it is no real surprise that you're capable of producing such wonderful pieces.
